About this listen

Falling for a teammate who also happens to be your brother's best friend? Total rookie move.

McRae: I’ve had a crush on my brother’s best friend since the moment I laid eyes on him four years ago.

Warner Ramsey is 225 pounds of pure hotness, a media darling, and one of the best NFL quarterbacks in the league.

Hell, he’s the reason I figured out I’m solidly bi.

It was easy to keep my crush under control when I was in college. Now, we play for the same team, and every time he talks smack, I want to shut him up. With my mouth.

But I’ve got other things I should be focusing on, like dominating my rookie year with the Denver Rush and finally stepping out of my brother’s shadow.

Besides, Ramsey’s straight.

Ramsey: I’ve never tapped into my bisexuality—never told anyone except my best friend that I’m bi. All I want is to play football and not draw media attention like my dad, who got ousted from the league.

Garrett McRae is my biggest temptation. He’s gotten under my skin for years.

I’m supposed to be looking out for him, not thinking about getting him naked.

And definitely not the kiss we shared.

That I somehow instigated.

It was stupid, and not like me, but God, it was hot.

We’re teammates, with million-dollar contracts on the line. And yet…is a little experimentation really so bad

Rookie Move is a low-angst, high-heat sports romance in the Playing for Keeps series.

Very spicy and drama free

I loved listening to the story of Ramsey and Garrett :)) The only comment i could make was that sometimes I wasn’t sure if it was Garrett or Ramsey speaking since the voice was very similar.

So sweet

I enjoyed this sweet brother’s best friend and teammate romance. A bit forbidden and definitely hot. Rookie Move brings together two men who find themselves surprised by the depth of their feelings for each other.

There are a lot of external factors that make them hold back from admitting to their true feelings, but this super adorable duo gets there in the end. In the meantime, we get a lot of fun snarky banter and some sexy sneaking around.

This is a lighthearted and fun story that made for fun listen, along with narrator Nick J. Russo. I’ll definitely be listening to book 2 in this series.

So good!

I already read this book, but it was so good and I love the narrator Nick J Russo that I had to listen to it as well! Damn it was good! Especially the parts on the field!
Highly recommend!

Incredibly heart warming all the way through!

Fantastic love story and not going to give you a lot of heartache.
A lot of popular MM romance read so far are very heartbreaking most of their story. The one that will make you cry in misery a huge chuck of the story. but Rookie Move an opposite of those books.

Rookie Move is just so freaking good and heart lifting. So tender and sweet. Not a lot of heartaches and heart wrenching break ups. A good book I can listen to again. Over and over again. Ramsay and Garrett are so incredibly smoking hot and sweet together. I could listen to them for ever.

Nick J. Russo performance is absolutely sublime is very sense of the word. He lift this already amazing book into fantastic heights. So incredible that I often for get I'm listening to one person and not multiple people. He makes the whole book feels like it's own film.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience. Nick J. Russo, Neve Wilder and Riley Hart.

Sexy, Fun, Football, HEA, LGBTQIA+, Bi

Wow, when the blurb said “low angst” they meant it and I couldn’t be happier. It was sexy and fun and refreshing in ways I don’t want to spoil. Now I’m not usually a football gal being one for baseball and hockey but hot damn I loved this and can’t wait for the rest of the series.
