It caught my interest from the preview. I bought it. It was good for the first few hours then it became really boring, frustrating, dragging. I also did not like the angle of a prisoner falling for the captor. Everything felt wrong. The choice of words were poor too. I’m giving book 2 a chance only because of the 5 star review from a reader.

It had a lot of potential.

The story was very light. Not really anything dark behind it.
The female narrator was absolutely horrible. I don’t know whether she has a speech impediment or what, but my god. It was hard to listen to her.
Over all, don’t waste your time.

I really do not leave reviews and I do not like to be too harsh to people trying to do their jobs but… the female narrator sounds like some really bad AI bot. Super hard to listen to.
