Continue with book three in the Original series. Fans are calling this trilogy "the best books to read after The Hunger Games and Divergent!" From Rachel McClellan, the USA Today best-selling author who brought you the Devil series, comes a new dystopian series that fans can't stop talking about.

With Max and Colt taken by the Institute, Sage is desperate to get them back. So when the leader of the West resistance shows up and offers her a deal she can't refuse, she eagerly accepts. Finally, she is in a position where she can exact revenge on Ebony and the Institute, while also saving the people she loves. But the deal she made came with a steep price, and now she only has so much time to fulfill her end of the bargain.

Enjoyable

Thoroughly enjoyed this whole series. This last book rounded things up nicely with a satisfying end. Narrator was very pleasant to listen to.

That's The End?!?! wtf

Ok, let me preface this by saying I DO love this story.
That being said...*sigh* The ending made me want to scream at my phone. I mean, c'mon man.
what I said, exactly, was "*sigh* tsk"

Great writing and series, disappointing ending

I absolutely loved this series. Every chapter is fast paced and I had to take breaks while listening because of how intense and high stakes things were.

The ending has a lot of open ends in my opinion. I would have enjoyed a longer epilogue, or a more obvious solution to the major problem throughout the series. There could easily have been a fourth book to complete all the characters’ goals.

I loved the characters and their development and would suggest this read to anyone who loves high stakes, fast paced dystopian stories. The romance is a definite subplot but feels very organic mixed with the other relationships the main character navigates.

good bones but.....

this is the third book in a trilogy. i listened to them all, the story has amazing potential, but it skims along at a teenage harlequin/ adventure story. The lead character is extremely concerned and aware of her breathing and her lungs...kinda annoying. her Brain is overly concerned about whether he cares about her or not, obviously he does. makes dumb decisions and so on and so on....if this set was free id say give it a go, wasting a credit on it well thats up to you .
