Publisher's Summary

Theater critic Artemus Bancroft isn’t sure what to expect when his aunt summons him home to California with vague but urgent pleas about being unable to cope with “the situation”. The situation turns out to be the apparent haunting of Green Lanterns Inn - along with alarming rumors that long-suffering Auntie Halcyone may have murdered her philandering husband. In fact, the rumors seem to have been started by the late Mr. Hyde himself - from beyond the grave.

Not Enough Romance Or Mystery

This one was such a disappointment. Usually with Josh Lanyon books, I know I can expect there to be a solid mystery with light romance (and at least one sex scene), but this one had neither. The mystery, while interesting at times, was slow and carried no sense of urgency, and the romance was basically nonexistent.

That all being said, I'm looking forward to my next Lanyon read. Her style of writing and use of description is still stellar, this story just didn't do it for me.
