Secretly hooking up with the team captain's sister was a bad idea. In my defense, the first time I saw her, I didn't know who she was. Kind, gorgeous, a little naïve. Ginny brightened my world from day one. I knew I was no good for her. She was just out of a relationship, and I had a reputation for having a new girl in my bed every weekend.
I tried to do the right thing. Honest. I'm the one who insisted we should be just friends. That lasted about as long as you'd expect.
But Ginny? She's the best - best friend, best everything. So yeah, hooking up with the team captain's sister wasn't a great idea. Would I do it again? In a heartbeat.

The chemistry between these two was there from the very beginning, and I loved watching their relationship grow. They joked around, teased each other, and genuinely had fun together. It was so nice seeing two people build a real connection while slowly figuring out their feelings for each other.
I loved watching the MMC go from the playboy who never wanted just one girl to realizing there was only one girl he wanted. The FMC was also such a great character as she navigated starting college as a freshman, finding herself, making new friends, and working through her feelings after a breakup. I loved seeing her want to enjoy this new chapter of her life while still figuring everything out.
Both characters had their own struggles, and that added such a realistic element to the story. They weren't perfect, and I found myself relating to parts of their journeys, which made me connect with them even more.
The narrators did an amazing job bringing these characters to life. They captured the emotions, the banter, and the chemistry so well, which made this audiobook even more enjoyable.
I'm definitely a mood reader, and the ending had me wanting to immediately roll into the next book—which is always a huge win for me!
Highly recommend if you love hockey romance, great chemistry, emotional growth, and characters you'll genuinely root for!
