Publisher's Summary

Want, need, pain, and joy were emotions Shade had never known existed before Lily. He knew the first time he saw her face that she was going to change his life forever. The thing he hadn't expected was how hard it would be to hide who and what he was from her. Each step he took out of the shadows revealed more of himself until only one secret remained. Shade arrogantly believed he could help heal the wounds from her past, but now it was his own past that was trying to tear them apart. To keep Lily, Shade would have to use the very skills he had been trying to hide from her. The skills that made him a killer...a soulless monster.

A must read!

One of those books that you are sad to be finished! Definitely the best one for the series so far!

a beautiful love story

where one heart was different than the other which united as one !!! the author brought tears to a story where the partner could feel the danger from one moment to the next and save the one he loved. If I can put more stars to this story I would!!!!

Amazing - this book makes the series.

Not that I didn't enjoy the other Last Riders novels but... man. Thank you, Jamie, for letting me get to know Shade, as well as the Last Riders through his eyes. i really liked that we got so much of the overarching plot through the male's perspective, there was a lot more substance to their club culture and detail about how the MC operates. And SO MUCH character development for a few of our favorite Last Riders, not least of all Shade. Let me just say that I absolutely ADORE this character. He is now forever one of my favorite book boyfriends of all time, and that's high praise. Shade has now joined ranks with with Sarah J Maas's Rhysand and Rowan, as well as Mercy Lecuyer in Lauren Gilley's Lean Dogs series. I honestly never thought I would love a contemporary character as much as I love Mercy, but Shade would give him a run for his money. This self proclaimed "sociopath" is the perfect MC alphahole, the perfect Dom, one Hell of a badass, a true friend and a giant sweetie... just remember, he's NOT A NICE GUY. <3
