Struggling to even find a little bread to feed himself, he survives by working as a pickpocket for local crime bosses, while his world is ravaged by a war between its two great superpowers. But everything changes when an enigmatic member of the elite wolfmen hands the badgerboy a mysterious package to deliver to a faraway land.
Lured by the promise of answers about his deceased mother—as well as a decent amount of silver—the badgerboy embarks on a daring journey as he runs from thieves, assassins, and the authoritarian government, while traveling on the high seas and fighting his way through monster-filled lairs. Assuming new identities as he crosses some of the biggest battlefields in the world, the badgerboy must continue to hone his magical powers if he wants to survive long enough for the package to reach its destination. Will the orphan fulfill his mission and get his rich reward, or will he get caught and face his doom?
