About this listen

Gotrek & Felix Audiobook 11

When they seek out the knightly order who previously owned Felix's magical sword, the duo are thrown into battle against an immense horde of beastmen that threatens to tear the heart out of the Empire.

LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE

It's a story packed with connections to the earliest Gotrek & Felix adventures, and even more packed with outrageous action that pits the pair against an entire army (and not a small one at that!).

THE STORY

Gotrek and Felix: unsung heroes of the Empire, or nothing more than common thieves and murderers? The truth perhaps lies somewhere in between, and depends entirely upon whom you ask.

When Gotrek and Felix travel north to seek the remaining members of the Order of the Fiery Heart, they find themselves with new companions and allegiances. Of course, they have heard the rumours of beastmen lurking in the Drakwald, but there is far more to the story than they could have imagined. The malignant forces of Chaos are at work, and Gotrek and Felix find themselves battling not only for their honour, but also for the very future of the Empire itself.

Written by Nathan Long. Narrated by Jonathan Keeble. Running time 10 hours, 50 minutes (approx).

Epic battles, one after another.

I’ll try to be vague in my review to not spoil anything. I enjoyed this book and would definitely listen/read it again.

In the warhammer series there are very few humans I’ve liked so far. Lots of Sargents and nobility are corrupt narcissists.

Felix ends up taking a coupleHe has to prove that he is worthy of carrying Karahul to the Templars order. They end up meeting a few old friends. One made me happy and the other frustrated. Even a little sad for the character.

They battle beast men and Kurgan. There’s a couple glorious battles. Felix and Kat running to fight along side Gotrek is one of my favourite parts of the books.
