I'm beginning to notice Cornwell's formulas for phrase and plot. Boredom is likely to follow.

I've thoroughly enjoyed the Sharpe series till now. The narrator is sucking on a lozenge. It clicks against his teeth as he moves it in his mouth, he's swallowing and it sounds like he's talking with food in his mouth.
If that wasn't bad enough, he has such a strong character voice that all the characters sound the same.

Sharpe books all are captavating and take you on an imaginative tour of war but this narrator and audio editor allow alot of losenger sucking sounds and mouth breathing
