I like Sara Cate, but this was a total flop for me

To start, I did not enjoy the male narrator at all. He was doing this weird breathy thing that was maybe supposed to sound sultry, but felt more like a limp handshake.

I kind of hated this. The Violet character was terribly written. Birdy, who has obvious mommy/daddy issues and zero life skills has fallen in love with the only person who doesn’t beat her…although Violet does like to punish her. Violet has no plan to save Birdy and honestly deserved to have Birdy sold off to a stranger, never to be seen again due to her last minute ditch efforts to convince a known criminal to buy and wed her step sister/lover. There is no real chemistry between the step sisters. Also the fact that Birdy goes from being innocent and naive to the world to being a sub to two Doms in the blink of an eye felt wildly unrealistic.
