About this listen
Perfect for fans of Throne of Glass and A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas and Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo.
Sworn to a goddess. One with her blade. A heart yet unbroken.
It would have been only one more year of training. One year in the dust and wind of the Calma Desert. But Gandrett Brayton’s fate storms in disguised as a beautiful stranger with a damning secret.
As he forces her into the service of the lord who tore her from her mother’s arms ten years ago to commit her to the Order of Vala, Gandrett is left with a choice: run, or work for the man she despises and earn the chance to see her family again.
Trained with all the weapons she can wield with her hands, Gandrett must learn that at the courts of the shattered kingdom of Sives, her sword won’t help her - especially when it is her own heart on the line.
Fae, magic, and a heart-throbbing adventure will keep listeners entranced until the last minute.
Shattered Kingdom is best-selling author Angelina J. Steffort's new young adult epic fantasy romance about a girl who's heart could change the course of history.

Wonderfully Done
“Sworn to a goddess. One with her blade. A heart yet unbroken.” Shattered Kingdom
⚔️This book series by Angelina J Steffort is, without a doubt, one of my favourite series of all time! This book has magic, it has action, it has love, and it is brilliantly told from POV! It is beautifully written, original, magical, and completely entertaining. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Gandrett Brayton is a warrior. A warrior taken away from the ones she loved, tried by fire, and sworn to serve a goddess against her will. Gandrett’s training and servitude in the dessert is interrupted. Interrupted by a beautiful stranger looking to buy her warrior skills. She proceeds on an unimaginable adventure meeting new people, facing strange enemies, and discovering magic she didn’t know existed.
✨It has twists. It has turns. It has incredible history and world building along with magic, humans, and mythical creatures! This book and series can help you escape this world and journey on a great adventure!
If you’re a fan of Throne of Glass by SJM you’ll love this whole series which is, in my opinion, even better!

Love the Books, Struggle a Bit with the Narrator
I read the series first when there were only 5 books released. Having to wait a long time for the 6th book... when it was finally released I decided to listen to the series on Audible to refresh my memory. The series itself is so wonderful and I was totally captured by the story, although a teeny bit slow in some parts. Overall I highly recommend reading the series and I can't wait to find out how it ends. As for the audiobooks... it took me a long time to get used to the narrator. I find the narration very robotic and bland; honestly, if I hadn't already read the books and been in love with the characters and story... I'm not sure the audiobook would have kept my attention. Now that I'm used to the narration (took me to book 3 to accept it), I'm still just as in love with the series as I was when I was reading them. So long story short... if you haven't read the series and you find the sample of the narration boring... I recommend still giving the series a chance and reading the books instead!

Great world building and premise but
Story had a lot of promise - really interesting world building, but the characters are a bit meh, like the author couldn't commit to what she wanted from them. For example, the MC hasn't cried since she was 7 and has learned to keep her emotions masked, but X chapters later is crying in a carriage cause she gets a bit frustrated. For how stotic the main characters are described, they are pretty emotional. and everyone falling in love with the MC was a bit cringe. vocal performance is great.
