About this listen
When Mum died, I inherited a lot more than a pack of lies.
I landed a $410,000 debt.
Discovered her previous surname.
And her real place of birth.
Desperate to uncover the truth, I drive to a tiny dot on the map called Deception Valley.
Coincidental name? Nope.
There, I find her secret family - because she had one of those, too.
How many lies are we at? Honestly, I’ve lost count, but local gossip captures my attention. Apparently, Mum’s other family play laser tag every Wednesday. Not even joking. Laser tag.
What the hell is this place?
In hindsight, the massive guy with honey irises was my first major clue. Unusual eyes for a human, right?
Perfect eyes for a werewolf.
But sexy supernaturals, thongs, and mounting financial strain aside, Mum’s past is buried somewhere in this valley, and I need to dig up the truth or find a way to live with her lies.
What do you do when neither option will leave you unscathed?
If you can’t get enough of books by Ilona Andrews, K.F. Breene, Patricia Briggs, or anything paranormal romance, then step inside The Dens and get ready to play for your life.
This book contains sexual scenes, language, and violence.

Read this series
Fated mates
Enemies to lovers
Spice build through the series
Series is finished so no waiting
Laughed out loud several times in each book
Strong FMC
Twists and turns throughout the series. Literally shouted “what?!” At the end of book one.
Narration was excellent.
If you end up with the audio book; Recently I’ve been into books with both male and female narrators but I didn’t even miss having a male narrator.

Couldn't stop listening
I enjoyed the book. It kept me interested and flowed well. I can see a build up towards the next book and will be starting that right away. Not much steam yet but lots of anticipation.

Captivating!
I couldn’t put this down. What an impressive imagination the author has. Narrator was on point as well. Definitely recommend this book.

Really enjoyed overall, with a slight uncertainty
Short version:
There were up and down. He 20% mark was hard because of then main female characters attitude. Love the main male character despite the stalkerish vibe (see long version for detail). As of about 40% in I kept laugjing at the interaction and attotude on most front. As a Fantasy Romance like it a lot and looking forward to the development in book 2.
Long Version:
So I was curious about the consensus about the end. Read many comments and havent found any in regards to it. Now I did see many good comments and many negative one as well so here goes:
1) The entire series and related one as well are purely fictional. Its not based on the States.
2) The turns on wolf shifter mating is different and I thought it was a nice twist to the general approach
3) I agree with the mass opinion about the lead characters having a very hard to like personality. Her prediposition to point 4 is somewhat irritating because there 0 base for it. On top of her reaction on where she lays the blame in the ending (as vague as can be without spoiling anything). To be honest the last 90 seconds is so frustrating due to her attitude that it tempered my enthousiasm for book 2 (I am still interested but not "got to buy it this second)
4) The segregation aspect illustrated in the book is between werewolf and a native community and very present. But would we feel it as much if they were Vampires or Fea instead of humans ?!...
5) the Stalkerish attitude is in fact simply a mating process. Let's get real here. Anyone who has read a shifter romance novel with a strong Alpha can agree thats its actually pretty soft and somewhat cute and considerate.
All in all, its a Fantasy Romance novel. There a very present human twist to it which seems to drag out some sensitive topic, hence, in my opinion some of the negative review.
