Finished it just to be done with it
I always love Karen Peakes narration but Olsens writing wasn't his best in this third book of the Megan Carpenter series. We know enough about Megan's personality from book 1 and 2 but Olsen repeats things as if we're first time listeners. We get it, she's got haunted past. At the same time he still hasn't answered other important facts about Megan's past that, let's be honest, should have been revealed by now. There's just a lot of gaps and irrelevant side stories. Similar to book 2... Olsens lost me on this one. If there's a fourth book, I won't even bother. The series has a lot of potential but Olsens got to pick it up and get organized. He and his main character are just a hot mess.
