Publisher's Summary

The beloved authors of Dirty Laundry break down the harmful stereotypes about people with ADHD to help you stop being your worst fear-leader, start bigging yourself up, and live your best neurodivergent life.

When “ADHD wife” Roxanne Pink and neurotypical husband Richard Pink asked their community of 2.5 million what the biggest ADHD struggle is, the thousands of replies changed everything. As they learned, the real enemy isn’t productivity or focus, but the toxic ADHD core beliefs we’ve internalized.

With candor and kindness, they share personal stories to highlight and reframe the 10 big lies that ADHD people believe about themselves. From “I am lazy” to “Everybody hates me” and “I quit everything I start,” Small Talk will empower ADHDers and those who love them to navigate life with compassion, humor, and hope. Whether you were diagnosed early or are new to the neurospicy community, Small Talk will change your relationship with yourself and others.

A specific lifeline for adhd

I have read their previous book BUT this one especially I’m going to buy the physical copy because this is the oxygen I have needed my whole life. 40 and terrible self confidence self esteem in me. How I can relate to Rox my kindred spirit from across the pond. Small talk what I call self talk, that inner dialogue that no one else has to deal with I didn’t realize is a major factor in adhd and untreated adhd. I had no idea I had adhd I thought adhd is a learning disability which I have but no they are two different things. I wish I could give her the biggest hug and be pen pals. It helps that one side of their books are the perspective of a adhd person and the neurotypical person. The fact they are a couple as well, gives hope to be loved understood, accepted and encouraged of a partner is really what we all want but as well as our family members to understand us adhd folks. With lots of love from Canada

Living with ADHD in a loving couple.

This is a great book if you have ADHD or want to support someone in your life with ADHD. From the point of view of a London UK couple that are very honest with their challenges. Roxanne has ADHD and her loving husband, Richard, helps her unravel and adapt to it. It is full of honesty and setbacks from Roxanne's life.

The couple are very lucky. They have found a way to leverage ADHD for writing and internet influence. They have expensive setbacks that would end other relationships. What emerges is a loving story that is touching, especially if you have ADHD, were diagnosed late, and don't believe you will find a good relationship. Another person said listening to this book is like a hug. They clearly enjoy their life together and prosper. It can be hard if you are not so lucky.
