About this listen

From the New York Times best-selling author of Something Borrowed comes a novel that shows how someone with a "perfect life" can lose it all - and then find everything.

Darcy Rhone thought she had it all figured out: the more beautiful the girl, the more charmed her life. Never mind substance. Never mind playing by the rules. Never mind karma.

But Darcy's neat, perfect world turns upside down when her best friend, Rachel, the plain-Jane “good girl,” steals her fiancé, while Darcy finds herself completely alone for the first time in her life... with a baby on the way.

Darcy tries to recover, fleeing to her childhood friend living in London and resorting to her tried-and-true methods for getting what she wants. But as she attempts to recreate her glamorous life on a new continent, Darcy finds that her rules no longer apply. It is only then that Darcy can begin her journey toward self-awareness, forgiveness, and motherhood.

Something Blue is a novel about one woman's surprising discoveries about the true meaning of friendship, love, and happily-ever-after. It's a novel for anyone who has ever, even secretly, wondered if the last thing you want is really the one thing you need.

Great!

Griffin’s ability to develop each character is remarkable. In a light-hearted way, the author still delivers important substances. The narrator’s performance was top notch and it was just enjoyable listening to it. Fantastic audio experience. Thank you!

The main character is annoying...

** spoiler alert ** I thoroughly enjoyed the switch in Darcy's character from complete and utter brat to empathetic mom. I do think, however, that the chunk of the book, which was mostly about how much of a brat Darcy is, was somewhat boring and longer than it should be. Nothing was impressive about the style of writing, but it wasn't bad. The progression of the story was predictable and the ending was the most predictable of all. #Audible1

Ok book

I wasn’t a huge fan of the person who read the book and I think I prefer the first book over the second but it was OK

Annoying

I couldn’t get past the outrageously arrogant and egotistic main character. Did not finish; gave up after a 2+ hours

Annoying

I was hoping this would l be written from Darcy’s actual perspective. That maybe we could see why anyone would date her or be friends with her for so long. But it seems the author just wants to keep her as the villain. Couldn’t get past the 3rd chapter.
