Magical and haunting
What an incredible and fascinating world! Steeped in old magic and ancient prophecy, the author is using the most mysterious of Irish folklore and legends to tell a tale woven with themes of family, sacrifice, loyalty, war and love. There are so many layers to this story secrets are revealed and as we get deeper into the core. I’m thoroughly enjoying this series and am eager to start the next book.

Classic
Such a beautiful story! while the love angle is predictable (isn't it always) it is unique in the telling. The story of her sister is so unexpected, even if you could predict the spoiler. Just a wonderful book in every way.

Amazing Sequel!

I absolutely love this sequel to daughter of the forest! Juliet Marillier is a spectacular writer. Their vocal performances were also so well done, it felt like I was right there with all the characters. Can't wait to listen to more of the Sevenwaters Series!!

Great Book!
I loved listening to this book after listening to Daughter of the Forest. It was wonderful to hear how Sorcha's story continued through her children. The voice actress who read the book was perfect.
