Publisher's Summary

Alyssa Milano’s sharply observed, uproarious, and deeply intimate ode to the life she has lived and the issues that matter most.

Alyssa Milano, actress and activist, delivers here a collection of powerful personal essays that get to the heart of her life, career, and all-out humanitarianism. These essays are unvarnished and elegant, funny and heartbreaking, and utterly real. A timely book that shows in almost real time the importance of taking care of others, it also gives a gut-punch-level wake-up call in an era where the noise is a distraction from what really needs to happen, if we want to live in a better world.

These are stories of growing up in celebrity, of family and of friends, of connections and breaking apart. They have teeth and come from the heart. And they are stories that offer a direct line into the thoughts and life of one of the most visible, hardworking humanitarians we have. A best-selling children's book author, Alyssa's finally giving her fans worldwide what they really want to hear directly from her about: the life she has lived, the things she's seen and experienced, and the way she lives in and with the world.

I wish this was more not sorry

I have listened to this book.. actually I have tried and tried to listen to this book...I love the message but the delivery is hard to listen too. I love a strong woman sticking up for the women that may not have the loudest voice.. this came off as a woman very angry and honesty she sounds drunk. I know that sounds weird but I couldn't get over it. I respect her values and the voice she is trying to get across..to me it feels wrong.. and I love the bashing of men that are assholes.. unfortunately I have to return this book.

Never Be Sorry For Being True To You

Her essay’s show us more of who she is, self assured, compassionate, aware and rightfully unapologetic. Alyssa Milano is more than an actress, she is a empathetic human who knows how to use her celebrity status for good and raises to bring awareness to issues that matter to all of us. When Alyssa speaks I listen. Sorry Not Sorry.

Less interesting than expected.

I wish it was less political and more personal life. Personal journey less angry political views….even though it is valid political anger. Politics can be very dry at the best of times, and even though Alyssa is on point with her views… and she is clearly intelligent, I’d rather understand her life. We already know what to expect from politicians. I bought the book because Alyssa is a great Actor, made great movies and seems like a cool person, and a kind person. I would like to know more about her, and I didn’t find that in this book.

Just no

I wanted to love it as much as I love her but once I started listening - I couldn't force myself to continue.

It was nothing at all what I was expecting.
