About this listen
The highly anticipated sequel to Dreadnought, featuring "the most exciting new superheroes in decades." (Kirkus)
Only nine months after her debut as the superhero Dreadnought, Danny Tozer is already a scarred veteran. Protecting a city the size of New Port is a team-size job, and she's doing it alone. Between her newfound celebrity and her demanding cape duties, Dreadnought is stretched thin, and it's only going to get worse.
When she crosses a newly discovered billionaire supervillain, Dreadnought comes under attack from all quarters. From her troubled family life to her disintegrating friendship with Calamity, there's no lever too cruel for this villain to use against her.
She might be hard to kill, but there's more than one way to destroy a hero. Before the war is over, Dreadnought will be forced to confront parts of herself she never wanted to acknowledge.
And behind it all, an old enemy waits in the wings, ready to unleash a plot that will scar the world forever.

excellent!
While there are slight differences between this and the kindle version, they are nothing egregious and add to the story, which is an excellent sequel to the original. The narrator does a good job conveying the emotion of the main character.

Awesome
Even better than the first one, and the VA did such a good job portraying the characters emotions, it felt like listening to a movie.

Not as great as the first but worth reading
I think this one is slightly contrived in its efforts to show systemic issues and the pressures of settling into a role. But it’s still well worth everyone’s time

Not only a rollicking fun superhero story!
It's also the heart-rending story of a girl fighting her way to acceptance in a world that isn't always kind to people who are on the edges of society. I look forward to more titles from this author!

Therapy needed
Overall, the concept is fine, but seems like every character needs lots of therapy or a good smack. A tough listen and difficult to listen to the constant denials and avoidance. There was more than enough in the previous book.
