About this listen

Even titans can bleed.

Iro and Emil have opened their first Gates, unlocked new talents, and proved the fleet's Hoppers aren't stalled. Despite leaving the rank of trainee, they find their training is just beginning.

Thrown into a new squad with an explosive Mage, a cursed Surveyor, and a Vanguard with shady motives, Iro and Emil will delve deeper into the titan than ever before. There are bizarre things in the depths: pitch-black oceans, nests of swarming monsters, and Spires that rip through the hull of the titan.

What purpose do the Spires serve, and can Iro and Emil reach the top in time?

Spire Climbers is a progression sci-fantasy perfect for fans of Cradle and Iron Prince.

Second Book Syndrome

I'm sure this all leads to something in the third book but this was such a downgrade from the first book. The new cast of characters feel so forced and made me miss all of the mainstay cast from the first book (especially Rolo snd the trainees). There's also way less of a focus on training and progress just happens because the story says so and I really wish the characters had to work for stuff again.

Honestly I just hope the third book can pick up the ball after this one dropped it.

Narrator does a great job though.
