Story
For myself and Lauren, my 10-year-old daughter No 3 Beech Close was to be our refuge after two years of hell nursing my sick mother. In need of a fresh start and wanting to distance ourselves from the bad memories of my mother’s house we moved to Beech Close, a small cul-de-sac of six houses situated around a picture-perfect green. It seemed perfect but I had underestimated the secrets that this tightknit community shared. Within hours of moving in my next-door neighbour Valerie made it abundantly clear we were not welcome.

Story
The day my path crossed with Simon Fox I thought I’d already lost everything, but then he almost ran me off the road with his flash car and belittling jibes. The men in my life had undermined me for too long. Enough was enough. Fuelled by alcohol and the desire to get even, I decided a spot of petty vandalism would make me feel a whole lot better. Wrong. Very wrong. I hadn’t realised that Simon Fox was not a man to be messed with.

Publisher's Summary
When the hunter becomes the hunted…
Perfect for fans of Liane Moriarty, Shari Lapena and Lisa Jewell.
It was eight o’clock on a Sunday morning when I was attacked.
He burst into my life, turning my world upside down.
He took everything he wanted and left me broken.
Now the police can’t find him.
They have no idea who he is or what he’s capable of.
But I do.
I know just how dangerous he is and if they can’t stop him before he hurts someone else, then I will.
What the critics say
"A brilliant thriller from an exciting new voice. Stalker had me on the edge of my seat." (Kerry Barnes)
"An atmospheric, taut thriller which keeps you hooked from the first page. An exceptional debut." (Jacqui Rose)

Loved it !!!
My first Gemma Rodgers book and what a thrilling writer. Beautifully narrated by Georgia Maguire. What a beautiful combination!!!
With a great story in an audible, the narrator pulls you into the plot. This narrators voice was amazing and you had to keep listening.
What a suspenseful book and so well written. Very much looking forward to more books by this author. Most definitely a name to add to my Favourites..
I love the surprising twists at the end. Didn’t see that coming . Love a book with a nice Prologue.
Definitely I recommend this book.

TRIGGER WARNING: Rape!
There should be a trigger warning in the synopsis that there is a horrific depiction of rape right from the get-go in this novel, Stalker! I did enjoy the story, written by Gemma Rogers, and felt it was well narrated by Georgia Maguire, but I got bogged down by what I felt was unnecessary detail (e.g. the type of bank account she got to save money, etc.). Otherwise, good characters, written to a crescendo of a satisfactory ending.

Entertaining
I enjoyed this book. I was disappointed when the villain turned out to be a character I liked, but it's a compliment to the author that I didn't suspect who it was until the very last minute. I've read a lot of mystery novels and can usually figure it out much earlier in the book. Well done!

Great story
In the beginning she described his ice as ice blue lifeless no light behind them, later on when she is watching him on the treadmill she described his eyes as she remembered then topaz, golden with no light behind them…….

Couldn’t stop listening
I wasn’t sure that I wanted to listen to this book at first, but I kept getting the recommendation in the app, so finally decided to give it a go. I’m glad I did! I was hooked from the start and just wanted to keep going to find out how it ended. I will say however that it can be hard to listen to at times due to the fact that sexual assault is such a central theme in the book.
