One moment a man sits on a suburban hill, gazing curiously at the stars. The next, he is whirling through the firmament, and perhaps the most remarkable of all science fiction journeys has begun. Even Stapledon's other great work, Last and First Men pales in ambition next to Star Maker which presents nothing less than an entire imagined history of life in the universe, encompassing billions of years.

This is a great book. Amazing in its imagination and scale. Great science fiction book.

I can’t even remember what the guy was talking about because the narrator and the content was so boring in presentation, I couldn’t tell you if it was substantive or not.

Presented like boring nonfiction

The idea behind the book is interesting, but it’s so boring and descriptively inane. If I ever hear someone say “hither and thither” I’m going to snap.

Use this to fall asleep…it’s that mind numbingly boring.
