About this listen

The Clone Wars have exploded across the galaxy as Republic forces and Separatists struggle to gain the upper hand. But while the Jedi generals work tirelessly to defeat Count Dooku and his rebels, Supreme Chancellor Palpatine is hatching his own dark plans.

The Separatists have launched a sneak attack on Coruscant. Obi-Wan Kenobi, wounded in battle, insists that Anakin Skywalker and his rookie Padawan, Ahsoka, leave on a risky mission against General Grievous. But when Senator Bail Organa reveals explosive intelligence that could turn the tide of war in the Republic's favor, the Jedi Master agrees to accompany him to an obscure planet on the Outer Rim to verify the facts.

What Obi-Wan and Bail don't realize is that they're walking into a deadly trap concocted by Palpatine...and that excape may not be an option.

Inspired by the full-length animated feature film Star Wars: The Clone Wars and the brand-new TV series, this thrilling adventure is filled with provocative, never-before-revealed insights into the characters of Obi-Wan, Anakin, Padme, Yoda, Count Dooku, and many other Star Wars favorites.

Great backstory

I love all these Clone Wars Era stories! It was interesting to learn what happened on Zigoola, and how the relationship between Obiwan and Bail transformed. You see how they are here versus Revenge of the Sith Era, the Age of the Empire, and the Age of the Rebellion too. In the other Clone Wars novels, Zigoola was always mentioned but Obiwan kept avoiding discussing what happened. Now we know. You also get to meet Anakin, Ahsoka, Rex, Padme, and Yoda.

A Good overall story.

The narrator was excellent. He kept the story interesting. I found the cover misinforming since it shows Rex shooting. Rex nor Ahsoka were in it for long. The plot was interesting and the ending a bit disappointing. It's worth a free credit

One of the better ones!

I’ve listened to several Star Wars audiobooks and read a handful. This book is for those who loved Revenge of the Sith written by Matthew Stover, and, Yoda: Dark Rendezvous.

It delves into the force, the inward spiritual battle, fleshing out characters we already know while keeping it interesting and absorbing!

If you do not enjoy the new high republic books then this is probably worth a try. Ties beautifully with the movies.

Excellent as always

I read these books a couple of times as a child and now hearing it read was just as exciting.
The voices were perfect and the story was solid and flowed well. I want more of these books
