About this listen
Motion picture producer Selena Ryan has the impossible: Fame and fortune and her integrity. Her reputation for playing fair in an industry rife with games has earned her respect from other producers, writers, and actors.
She's learned the lesson that plenty of people would like to use her to get what they want - a starring role or some other way into the movies. Burned badly by actress Jennifer Lamont, who used her and left her with a devastating aftermath, she's wary of everyone related to the industry.
When Gail Welles literally lands in Selena's lap, she suspects another ploy. Jennifer's sudden arrival back in her life is equally ill-timed and suspect. On the verge of producing her biggest film to date, Selena wants everyone to leave her alone, even if that means living without love.

Cute.
I love showbiz fics. I'm glad I saw this on the Plus Catalogue, and I'm sorry to see it going. I'll keep it in my library and spend a credit on it at a later time.

Beautiful
I love the main characters and the pay off was everything. The supporting cast was strong, too; even some supporting or minor characters I thought were caticatures at first ended up not feeling like it. Very much a book about finding genuine connection with good people in what can seem like a sea of superficiality and conniving. If you want a lighthearted lesbian romance this book is for you. There is on page sex, but it's not brimming with it like some romance books. I'll definitely be adding some of this authors books to my wishlist to remind me she's worth spending credits on
The narrator was excellent. Good emotional range, different voices, and didn't make the opposite sex sound one dimensional (which is so often unflattering to boot). I actually found this author because of her. I loved her in another book, but I'm not sure I'm finishing that one cuz it is so dark for a romance so I am glad I found she is an actress with a prolific body of voice acting work.
