About this listen

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Lisa Gardner, a "frightening, full of twists, and completely satisfying" thriller in which Frankie Elkin must locate the long-lost sister of a serial killer (Karin Slaughter).

Five-year-old Leilani Pierson has been missing for over a decade. Amateur detective Frankie Elkin is an expert at finding missing persons. But this case has unusually high stakes. The request comes from Leilani’s sister Kaylee, a convicted serial killer weeks away from her execution date.

The main suspect in the kidnapping? Kaylee’s ex-boyfriend, a tech billionaire who has hidden himself away on a remote base camp near Hawaii.

Determined to find the missing girl–alive–Frankie embarks on a dangerous mission. Up against a ticking clock and an incoming tropical storm, will Frankie Elkin learn the truth and save Leilani before it’s too late?

Details

Things I liked best in this story is the attention to detail on the beautiful Atul and Frankie’s personality.

Review

Honestly what a journey this was. It was definitely not as intense as book two but still an incredibly written story. I probably should have given myself a day or two to digest book two before jumping right into this but I couldn’t wait to see what was going to come next.
I enjoyed that this book felt lighter, the banter between characters, while still questioning what was going on, and trying to decide who could be trusted and who couldn’t. And the ending to this 🥺

another great read ( listen)

I've read the Frist 2 books of this series and was excited that she had put out a third one. although it's a bit different being that Frankie is looking for someone who is alive that went missing I still enjoyed it and like the fact that we got to learn more about Frankies past. loved the energy the cooks put out. anyway don't want to give anything away but the ending I never seen it coming the way that it did.

This just wasn’t it

I love Lisa Gardners books and am a fan of her character Frankie but was this book ever a disappointment. I just kept telling myself to hang on and it will get better but it didn’t. I couldn’t even comprehend half of the plot line. I feel like the without rushed to put this book out but wasn’t clear on where it was going. Big fail.
