About this listen
"And then there is the most dangerous risk of all - the risk of spending your life not doing what you want on the bet you can buy yourself the freedom to do it later." (Randy Komisar, Monk and the Riddle: The Education of a Silicon Valley Entrepreneur)
When was the last time you were passionate about something? When was the last time you asked yourself what you're really passionate about? When was the last time you took a risk in order for your passion to grow? If your answer is, "I really don't know. I can't remember when...or maybe I didn't have any. I am too afraid to try. I fear failure and rejection and that many people might hate me and talk behind my back. I don't think I can make it," then you're totally ruined by our society's crab mentality and self-sabotaging infections.
Life can be compared to a lot of things and the most common are a book, tire, or flower. It's true enough that we cannot judge a book by its cover. Many authors now decide to publish their creations in a very mysterious manner: leaving the title and a picture as hints on the front cover and nothing on the back, which creates curiosity, among bookworms, regarding what happens inside. And yes, it is indeed accurate to relate life to a tire, because we don't win all the time and we get dry and wet thanks to different factors in life, such as problems, victories, rejections, and happy, unexpected serendipities. Lastly, if you want to live a genuine life, you must water yourself with a positive attitude and goal-attaining mindset, just like a flower.
Remember, no man is an island, so find the people who are worth the ride and fight. You cannot survive life alone, because you are not a perfect genius who knows everything under the sun. We are all human beings, and we make mistakes. We travel the world together with our dreams, passions, and goals. We walk different paths and directions to find our way back home.
