About this listen
We can not raise a happy child if we are constantly screaming threats at them. No parent sets out to hurt their child, but this type of parenting does just that. To raise a happy child that wants to behave, you need to retrain yourself first. You need to change the way you think and react to their behavior. You need to understand your triggers and heal yourself. Only then you can begin to heal your relationship with your children.
Making the decision to be a positive parent will benefit your whole family. You will find that your children want to behave and follow your rules. You will be less stressed out by the end of the day. Your house will not feel like a battle zone. Instead, you can create a home full of peace and love for the whole family.
This audiobook will show you why strict and permissive parenting do not work. You will learn just how easy it is to embrace a positive parenting style. While learning how to be a positive parent, you will not only heal the relationship with your children but heal yourself along the way.

Helped me A LOT
So I know some comments here mention the narration seeming condescending or something but I personally didn't feel that way at all. I feel that this book helped me control myself more with my kids, learned to take a pause because reacting and to also not beat myself up when I slip up. I really enjoyed this book and if you're like me, you know exactly why you need to read it so go ahead.

It was ok
I am sure that the narrator was going for a soothing calming tone, but she came across to me as condescending. I listened to the whole book and found it hard to really hear what she was trying to say because her tone rubbed me the wrong way.

Lifesaver!
I can’t believe what an impact this book has had on me! I have run back to listen several times during difficult moments and couldn’t be more thankful to have found it. I’ve bought several others in the series and am equally impacted in a very positive way! I am being 100% honest in saying that it changed my life from the moment I started listening to the book. So much gratitude... I’ll be hunting for all your books. I would also like to give big compliments to the narrator. Her calming voice and understanding nature really adds to the enlightenment of the writing. I’ve heard others and they just don’t have the same effect. A team matched from the parenting Gods for sure! Thank you.

good 1 hour audio
I like that it's short enough to finish in a little bit over an hour. This is a book I would like to listen to again in case I am forgetting to be the mom/parent I should be to my child. Most of the time stress will eat us and we forget how we are supposed to or how to manage bad situations with our child. Remember that the pointers here are just guidance, how we handle things are solely depends on us.

Some good info but gets a little preachy
It was good until she started telling you how to parent. I came for help to stop yelling not to be told how to have dinner with my family, or when to send my kids to bed. That said, it did have some good info and provides motivation.
