About this listen
When history teacher Fritz Russell walks through his classroom door, he finds himself in the company of General Robert E. Lee, over 150 years in the past. Fritz finds his sudden time trip to the past both a gift and a chance for great adventure. But when a portal opens to the Oval Office, he realizes that the mysterious gate could also be put to a more serious purpose.
When the president hires him to help with national security, Fritz doesn't believe there is any danger in traveling across time and space. But will his own government consider him expendable if he cannot solve the mystery of the portal?

Eagerly awaiting the next chapter...
I've never listened to a book so quickly. I absolutely loved it. I couldn't wait to find out what happened each time I had to stop listening. I was sad when it was over. Can't wait to listen to the next one.

I REALLY wanted to like this book. Unfortunately I just couldn’t.
I love time travel books and when the primary character was a teacher I thought, no way I won’t love this one. However, I was so disappointed with this book. I found the storyline to be so unbelievable. Not the time travel parts but the characters thoughts and interactions with each other in their day to day lives. To top it off, I found the narrator’s voices really difficult to listen to. Especially the voice of the president who sounded very slow and clipped as if he had some cognitive issues. I have NEVER given a book such a bad review. I tried to finish the story a number of times, hoping it would get better somehow. It didn’t.
