I enjoyed the first book in the series, this one was not great but not horrible either, both protagonist live in their heads instead of communicating with each other. For me the most disappointing part is the narration which is such an important part of telling a story, in no way does the character of Ricca sound like a smart, sassy black woman she sounds like she's been sucking on helium which is so off putting, the man's voice was no better, sounded the same way as the character of Alec in the first book. please for the love of God in future books get 2 narrators to voice the parts of the male and female characters because this was annoying to listen to, I manage to finish this book but it was a struggle.
