Brilliant Performance
This fun story was brought to life by Jesse V.'s narration. She really brought nuance to the dialogue.
I hope T. Kingfisher continues this series, I'd sure like to know what happened to The Dervish and Angharad Shieldborn.

I smiled the whole time
The female main character was such a breath of fresh air. She is a chubby middle aged widow who made me smile and laugh for hours.
The narrator is very good. Actually sounds like different people and you know who is speaking without being told. Emotion was well emulated, impressed.

Hilarious! Adventure! Romance!
What a wonderful book! I'm so happy to have discovered a new author that can weave a fantastic story, fill it with loveable characters and enjoyable interactions, romance and laugh out loud moments! This book was a delight and of course there is action and adventure! Can't wait to start the next book of hers! The performance was incredible and really added to the story. her accents were spot on and made me love Halla so much each time she spoke.

What a great book & the narrator did a wonderful job!
I’m so glad i stumbled upon this book it was delightful. Funny, entertaining, adventurous, a little creepy well coming across some strange magical creatures well on the road. There was also love & friendship, and the storyline was unique & you can tell there’s something bigger about to come in the next book!

Very fun and sweet
Great story with relatable and funny characters. Only reason I docked a mark on the story is because I prefer my romance to be a bit sexier.
I love that à main character is non-binary and it’s never discussed, just accepted.
