Publisher's Summary

Adventure. It's what my boring life is missing, so when I fall through a portal into another world, I'm excited. Here, I'm important. Here, I'm special.

I find out just how special when I meet Death. He's been exiled to the mortal realm to work through his flaws, and he's just as spoiled and awful as you'd think. Rhagos, the Shadow Lord, is arrogant and rude and controlling and demands to get his way. He's selfish. He's impossible.

He's also utterly gorgeous. Magnetic. Lonely. And strangely protective of me.

Thanks to a magic bond, I now serve him as his anchor to the mortal realm. It means that I'm his conscience, his guide...and the target for any assassin or glory-seeker. After a few days of this, I'd rather go home than continue on this adventure.

As the world falls down around us and we're hunted simply for existing, I find myself wondering what it'd be like to serve the lonely god of death...in all ways. To kiss him. To touch him. To bed him.

Except...I'm supposed to be finding a way home, not trying to kiss Rhagos. No matter how tempting he is. No matter how much he stares at my lips. No matter how much I want it.

Contains mature themes.

Excellent Can’t Wait for the next book! 💕💕💕

Didn't think it possible but just as good or better than Book 1, Narrator, Jullian Macie is excellent, she’s one of my favorite narrators (shes the narrator for Anna Carven in Dark Planet Warriors series)
Absolutely love Ruby Dixon, her Fireblood Dragon Romance Series is one of my favourites that I’ve listened to many times over & now another set to add to my most favourites. It’s amazing how she can build such fantastic and diverse worlds in all of her different series. Keep up the great work Ruby, xoxo 😘

I'm so happy

I love this book what makes that significant to me is that I loved and adored the first book I felt like it was amazing and that she didn't really need any more so when this sequel came out I was ecstatic and excited but I was very nervous I didn't want it to fall into a formula and I didn't want it to be boring compared to the first book was like how do you get us to follow along and learn with the character when we know so many ins and outs and I can genuinely say this book does not disappoint gods and aspects is awesome if you liked down to a battle God you'll love this as well I would highly recommend it and this book will work as a standalone on its own explain without being redundant or boring.

I would highly recommend this.

Slow start

This was probably my least fav from Ruby Dixon but it was still enjoyable. I’m just not the biggest fan of a naive main character. This just took me a lot longer to get into than I was expecting.
