Publisher's Summary
From the author of Buried Deep and The House on the Water comes a shocking thriller about a young podcaster who’s investigating a cold case in her hometown and determined to uncover the truth at any cost.
Paige Barrett was living her dream as a journalist in New York City, racking up bylines as a staff writer at The Razor, a cutting-edge online magazine. But when she’s suddenly fired from her job and dumped by her boyfriend, she finds herself back home in the quaint seaside town of Shoreham, Florida, waiting tables and living in her sister’s guesthouse.
Restless and itching for something meaningful to occupy her time, she decides to launch a true-crime podcast about the death of Jessica Cady, a beloved teacher who died mysteriously 20 years earlier. The case went cold with no leads and no suspects, but the more Paige digs into the woman’s death, the closer she comes to a killer. In a small town like Shoreham, it’s impossible to keep a secret forever.
Tell Her Story is performed by Dakota Fanning and features the voices of LJ Ganser, Vikas Adam, Emily Bauer, Ann Osmond, Fred Berman, Jonathan Davis, and Laura Darrell.

Enjoyable short story
3.5 stars rounded up to 4. I listened to this on a longer drive and overall enjoyed it! This is a great short story for someone who likes mystery, crime and some thriller elements near the end. The story was a bit predictable at times but kept me interested to the end.

Story was good. Narration was blah
This short story was well developed although predictable. Dakota Fanning is a good actress but narrative reading is not her thing. very boring to listen to

Good podcast! :)
I love listening to true crime podcasts, too! So this story was right up my alley. Interesting the irony that the protagonist's sister urges her on and buys her the equipment to follow-up on doing this story as a podcast, and trying to find out any answers that the police hadn't 20 years ago. And the younger sister who was "always the screw-up" ends up being the mature sibling who does the right thing, whereas... I recommend this novel, Tell Her Story, by Margot Hunt, and I enjoyed the narration by Vikas Adam, Emily Bauer, Fred Berman, Laura Darrell, Jonathan Davis, Dakota Fanning, LJ Ganser, and Ann Osmond. I've already read her other novel, Buried Deep, so now I'm on to The House on the Water!

Brilliant
Short and sweet. It was a great story . I’m not into Podcasts but this was wonderful to listen to on my 2 hr trip in the car. It was like a beautiful movie I would watch on my television at home.
Very brilliantly written by Margot Hunt. The narration was good as well. Especially with some of the main characters .
I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you Audible Plus.

Interesting.
The story is basic, but the concept interesting. It kept me invested long enough, although what helped was the shortness of the audiobook. The acting was a little stale, but it got the job done.

Solid!
A few little plot holes but this was a fun little thriller with an interesting twist and an ending that leaves room for a sequel.
