helpful communication skills
this book takes efforts to talk about using rhetoric ethically, but also helps you understand how some people (*cough* Sam Harris *cough*) use rhetoric manipulative ways

Narrator
The narrator was excellent. He lifted the text off the page. I especially liked the anecdotes and examples.

I didn't like
He argues for using partial truths with emotional strategies to manipulate others and get the outcome you want. I was instead hoping for a book on logical reasoning but this one seemed like the opposite. I found a few better books since on using argument for the purpose of learning and moving ahead at finding truth with others which is much more useful. Maybe this book would be useful if you are a salesperson but not for academics or for family. If my friends or family used some these strategies with me, I would consider them immature or think it was a joke.
