About this listen
What's next for Allan Karlsson? Turns out this centenarian has a few more adventures in store....
It all begins with a hot air balloon trip and three bottles of champagne. Allan and Julius are ready for some spectacular views, but they’re not expecting to land in the sea and be rescued by a North Korean ship, and they could never have imagined that the captain of the ship would be harboring a suitcase full of contraband uranium, on a nuclear weapons mission for Kim Jong-un. Yikes!
Soon Allan and Julius are at the center of a complex diplomatic crisis involving world figures from the Swedish foreign minister to Angela Merkel and President Trump. Needless to say, things are about to get very, very complicated.
Another hilarious, witty, and entertaining novel from best-selling author Jonas Jonasson that will have listeners howling out-loud at the escapades and misfortunes of its beloved 100-year-old hero Allan Karlsson and his irresistible sidekick Julius.

Excellente histoire !

it was ok.
the story was ok. After finishing the first one I was excited to pick up the second and go through it. I enjoyed the first one for it's humour and being able to properly follow historical events. but sadly this one had almost non of that, and got rid of all but two of the original friends. Even thou it picks up right after the first book, some how in 2017. I understand that the author wanted to do something with current events but then age the cast or explain why all of the characters have left.

Inaudible audio book.
The story was as expected....and rather too long for my liking, however suitable for the centurian at the heart of the novel. Author cleverly knitted current affairs into the plot. Still enjoyable however formulaic. At times the narrator is almost inaudible when he was in character which can be very frustrating. The volume of his normal speaking voice is louder and if the listener fiddles with the volume control he/she can be sure to suffer some hearing discomfort if wearing ear buds, as the narrater flips back and forth into all the characters. For this reason I gave it a lower rating.

Wonderful story
The narrator was absolutely awful. I really missed hearing Steven Crossley , who narrated the first 100 year old man novel. This fellow was almost impossible to listen to. His attempt at the Korean accents was almost painful, and his interpretation of Alan Karlsson was horrible. Not worth listening to in my opinion. Ended up reading the book from the library.

i tried. i really did.
but the bad accent reading just irked me. it was terrible. you could have read it without the accents just fine and I would have probably continued to enjoy it.
so I'll just buy the book and read it manually
