About this listen
Imagine you are on your death bed, and you are thinking back on your life. If you think that some of what will trigger satisfaction and regret will relate to what you did and did not achieve, then there may be something in this book for you. Here we will explore the foundational nature of achievement, as well as elements that contribute to it - ranging from the personal to the social. Essentially, we analyze what motivates a person to think goals are valuable and pursue them with some amount of vigor and how this relates to the broader society within which values are contextualized. As such, this is an exploration of how individuals and societies can optimize for achievement.
Even though this book is about achievement, it is just as much a love letter to science. As such, while I hope you will find the many and varied topics engaging in their own right, they also provide a narrative context to present over two hundred citations.
The Achievement Stack is a six-component model that describes ways in which the pursuit of achievement can be improved.
Each component provides a context for presenting many scientific discoveries relating to how people can improve their approach to goals. The first four components relate to psychology and the last two to sociology.
Building better achievers creates better societies that support greater achievement, in a virtuous cycle.

A roadmap to an optimized future
A factual based narrative focusing on key area’s that present opportunities to improve both the individual as well as society as a whole. I enjoyed both the unbiased nature of the presentation as well as the concise manner in which it is written. Quite enjoyable!
