Very good

...but not great. Tom Sawyer is a boy who seeks reward without work, and he gets away with it. He does have a tendency toward doing the right thing, after doing the wrong thing, but he is not lovable, not to me. A little " " would be a better description (you fill in the quotes). This is a book of comedy and character experimentation, pure and simple.

The narration was lovely.
