In 2157, a mysterious gas known as Variant spreads across the globe, killing or mutating most organic life. The surviving humans take refuge in an underground city, determined to return home. Ok story, narrator trying too hard

I might have enjoyed the story more if the narrator wasn’t trying so hard to sound cool. If he would speak naturally it would have been much better.
