About this listen
Over 6,000 years ago, the world's first civilization, the Sumerians, were recording stories of strange celestial gods who they believed came from the heavens to create mankind. These gods, known as the Anunnaki, are often neglected by mainstream historians. The Sumerians themselves are so puzzling; scholars have described their origin as "The Sumerian Problem."
With so little taught about the ancient Sumerians in our history books, alternative theories have emerged. This has led many to wonder, What is the true story behind the Sumerians and their otherworldly gods, the Anunnaki?
In The Anunnaki Connection, Heather Lynn connects a diverse range of new and existing theories about the Anunnaki, offering a definitive guide to Mesopotamian gods while exploring what role they might have played in engineering mankind. The Anunnaki Connection traces the evolution of gods throughout the Ancient Near East, analyzing the religion, myth, art, and symbolism of the Sumerians, investigating: Who are the Anunnaki?
How accurate are the current Sumerian text translations, and how do we know for sure who to believe? Is there a connection between the Anunnaki and other ancient gods? What about demons? Where are the Anunnaki now, and will their possible return spell the end of our world?

Extremely Academic
This book reads like a Dissertation by a PhD candidate. Heather Lynn presents a carefully curated and organized assessment of posits suggested by authors like Sitchin & Hancock in an accessible format.
The book doesn't present anything new and is disappointingly dry, but acts as an admirable desk reference for anyone interested in the 'Ancient Alien'/Spacefaring 'Gods' topic. Lynn outlines the theories commendably.. including skeptical views and philosophical context. Apparently, her thesis defense went well (congratulations, Heather).
Reader Chelsea Stephens does a praiseworthy job narrating the book. She overenunciates somewhat but captures the author's pedagogical tone nicely - while admirably maintaining interest despite occasionally droning text. The presentation is more than creditable.
Altogether, 'The Annunaki Connection: Sumerian Gods, Alien DNA, and the Fate of Humanity' merits 6 stars out of 10. It's a reasonable investment of time if you can get the audiobook off of the 'Plus' menu, but not worth a Credit if they ask for one. If you are dead set on having this easy-to-navigate encyclopedic book in your library, a text copy might fit your needs better than this recording. Having access to an Index would make the work extremely handy for looking up theories & evidence.

Well researched, no nonsense
Most information on the Anunnaki is inventive storytelling influenced by Zecharia Sitchin, who may have gotten creative when interpreting ancient documents. This book addresses that fact and points out what may or may not be a good translation. Setting things straight only makes this subject more fascinating, because even the tamest version of the story is stunning. It's the best source of information (and speculation) I have read on the Anunnaki.

pretty great for what it is.
the logic is easy to follow. obviously when the author talks about how to translate ancient writing, you have to have some faith ( I'm not going to learn how to read cuneiform). But does seem quite fair saying that they could be wrong. but very happy that the author isn't cherry picking to prove aliens.

I'll resume the authors vision and save you time
Basically, there are no Gods. Anunnaki were just other people. Let's explain everything with the religion of science.
