It has been 1,200 years since the demons and their allies destroyed the last zdrell master, the only kind of wizard who could challenge their mastery of the world. good story bad narration

The MC sounds like some using a " valley girl" voice . I get that he is 10 and shouldn't sound like a grown man, but... Come on he sounds like a girl. i could not get over it
