About this listen
Tucked away in a remote corner of North Carolina's Fort Bragg, behind rows of razor wire and heavily armed guards, lies the headquarters of the nation's most elite counter-terrorism unit: the United States Army's 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment Delta. Here, a brilliant new approach to combating terrorism has just been born. Its codename: The Athena Project.
The novels will follow an elite team of female warriors from their recruitment as top-level athletes, through their training, to their deployment on some of the most exciting and dangerous international assignments the fiction world has ever seen.
Brad Thor's listeners will be electrified as he employs his vast knowledge of covert operations and military intrigue to bring to life his most heart-pounding, globe-trotting thrillers yet.

Not a Harvath story
It’s a story about the Athena team intro’d in the last book. Scott pops in here and there and is mentioned maybe 5 times but that it. You’ve been warned.
Overall performance is exactly what you’d expect. A female narrator which makes sense due to the fact that all the main charters are female. And the narration is well done.
The story is just meh. You have the Athena team which are written with very little depth and only talk in one liner jokes that mostly is locker room talk. Which is fine just seems a little forced at times. The story also isn’t paced very well.
Overall I’m glad I bought it and listened to it but I won’t go back a second time and you’re not missing much by saving the money and skipping this one.
