Tor Maclean, the new chief of Aros Castle, has sworn off marriage after his first wife tricked him into it. Despite his efforts to scare away the Englishwoman, his father arranged for him to wed, Tor is drawn to her fire, courage, and beauty.

But when truths are revealed, and hearts as well as lives are on the dagger's edge, Tor doesn't know if he can forgive or if he will truly become the solitary Beast of Aros Castle....

A Tart? Yes or No

First... Tim Campbell is a fantastic narrator and love his Scottish Brogue(s). He has a plethora of voices. I especially love Tor's voice ... sexy as hell. Just as important his female voices do not sound affected nor like a man talking in a fake high pitch. Makes a huge difference when listening to a story. Thank you for your excellent voice and genuine talent. I often choose books based on the narrator and give those by Mr. Campbell serious consideration.

This is my second read of the Beast of Aros as I am ready to read Book 2. This is well written and moves a long at a good pace.. not too quick and not drawn out. A widower, also the chief, had been lied to by his wife so reluctant to remarry. However, he needs an heir. His father, recently passed, had arranged a marriage to an English lady. She shows up, with her best fiend and "companion/lady's maid'.? He hadn't invited her, but here she was and refused to return. Why? I recommend you read and find out. Is a good story.
