About the Performer

Andrew Scott has starred in a number of successful feature films. Recent work includes James Bond franchise film Spectre, Alice Through the Looking Glass, King Lear, and his acclaimed role in Pride. On the small screen, Scott played Moriarty in the international hit series Sherlock, for which he was awarded the BAFTA for Best Supporting Actor. Other television credits include Fleabag, Black Mirror, The Hollow Crown, The Town, The Hour, John Adams, and more.

On stage, Scott received the Olivier Award for his performance in A Girl in a Car with a Man, and most recently won the Critics' Circle Award for his acclaimed performance as Hamlet.

About the Author

Born on July 28, 1866, Helen Beatrix Potter is one of the world's best-selling and most-loved children's authors. From a young age, she took a keen interest in illustration, the natural sciences, and conservation; she had a love for nature and kept numerous pets. Using this as inspiration, Potter began writing and illustrating children's stories, self-publishing The Tale of Peter Rabbit in 1901, which became an immediate success. By her death in 1943, Beatrix Potter had written 30 books, the most popular of which were her children's stories. Her works have been translated into more than 35 languages, sold over 100 million copies worldwide, and have been retold in song, film, ballet, and animation.
