Living a laid back, hippy-dippy lifestyle isn't exactly in Kate's wheelhouse, but the only thing more horrifying is setting up house with Nick Fox, even if he does look pretty gnarly on a longboard. If they don't catch a break soon, waves aren't the only thing she's going to be shredding (or bedding). I really missed the “crew” the main characters from other books. The new characters were ok but not as entertaining as the original crew. It was a good book. I wanted to read it but was not nearly as good as the first 5 books. It lacked. Still a worthwhile read.

Story always a big more over the top than expected

The characters names remained the same, but it honestly felt like I was listening to a cheap knockoff of the Fox and O'Hare series. The relationship between Kate and Nick was completely erased, and all the other characters that were always involved in the cons were replaced by Cosmo and a few other weak characters. The only saving grace was the final few chapters, and Kate's dad, Jake. A true disappointment after 5 amazing books. This is a definite miss for me.
