About this listen
The thrilling conclusion to the New York Times best-selling Lone City trilogy, which began with The Jewel, a book BCCB said "will have fans of Oliver's Delirium, Cass's The Selection, and DeStefano's Wither breathless".
For too long Violet and the people of the outer circles of the Lone City have lived in service of the royalty of the Jewel. But now the secret society known as the Black Key is preparing to seize power.
While Violet knows she is at the center of this rebellion, she has a more personal stake in it - for her sister, Hazel, has been taken by the Duchess of the Lake. Now, after fighting so hard to escape the Jewel, Violet must do everything in her power to return to save not only Hazel but the future of the Lone City.

Best Trilogy!
Loved this trilogy! Keeps you on the edge of your
seat. Starts out similar to A Handmaid's Tale but much cleaner and more appealing as there's more to it with a much better ending where you aren't just left wondering what happened. Easy listening and appropriate for young adults.Although the storyline is somewhat similar to many book series out there, The Selection, tmThe Crown, A Handmaid's Tale, Amy gives it it's own spin and develops the story into so much more. Equally as good, if not better then those stories. Loved it!

Ok. needed more romance
I'm all for the Hunger Games type theme but I like a little romance with my rebellion.

Great finish!
A great finish to this trio of books. A part of me wishes it was longer, or there was another book to follow this one.

meh....
Did not like the narrator.
The story is weaker than it's predecessors. It's still a decent book but I don't think I'll be reading this one again as it did for The Jewel
