Great read!
Once you get absorbed into the characters, you become a part of their worlds. I didn’t want to stop listening. It was a great story.

A Masterclass In Foreshadowing
Nina Manning fashions a quite pedestrian (read: boring) scenario where the childhood friend of an obviously alcoholic spoiled trust-fund-baby harbors concealed animosity and hides a truly inconsequential "secret". What she does with that story matrix, however, is commendable. Manning is able to build tension by drip-drip-dripping revelations and dropping frequent hints that something devastating is forthcoming. The fact that the "devastating" reveal is startlingly anticlimactic doesn't change the effectiveness of the build-up.
Boldwood Books contribute to the enjoyability of the audiobook by casting Geri Allen to read it, too. Her spot-on diction, timbre/cadence comfortable for listening for hours, and pitch-perfect tone are matched with unimpeachable voice-acting. This is a high-quality listening product.
Altogether, the exemplary production values and impressive storytelling technique can't make up for a ho-hum plot, however. 'The Bridesmaid' merits 6 stars out of 10.
If you can get it as a 'Plus' option, it's not a crazy way to while away a few distracting hours.. but if they ask for a Credit, you would do better to spend it elsewhere.
