About this listen

Book 3 in the series. In an ancient tunnel underneath New York City a charnel house is discovered. Inside are 36 bodies all murdered and mutilated more than a century ago. While FBI agent Pendergast investigates the old crimes, identical killings start to terrorize the city. The nightmare has begun. Again.

Narrator parts were awful

The reader did EXCELLENT when reading the characters! But the narrative parts sounded terrible.
Just me maybe.

Not My Favourite

While I enjoyed the story, I found it dragged in parts. The attention to detail is excessive in parts such as descriptions of every cabinet, shelf, and the content on so many bottles, boxes and jars. Details which added nothing to the story and sadly, makes one wonder if the authors are paid by the word. Of the 3 or 4 men who I have heard narrating these tales, this narrator is not my personal favourite. That be said, there was nothing so serious that I won't continue to listen to the books written by these authors. I have spent many wonderful hours listening to the Pendergast stories and will continue to do so, I'm sure!!!
