Narration is remarkable

I am impressed with how distinct each character is based on the variety of voices and accents used. This made the story more interesting and easier to follow. Kudos to Katherine Kellgren. I also am impressed with the author's way of inserting details of clothing, locations and customs of that era, breathing life into the story and holding my interest.

Rather be married than Enola

Acknowledging the need for action to put women on equal footing with men. I still think the pendulum has gone too far, though. I disagree with the philosophy of Enola’s mother. I certainly believe in eternal life with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and I’d rather be married than single.
