Editorial Review
Living alone in a dangerous London, Enola is trying desperately to evade her brothers, who would have her sent to a finishing school for girls to live out a proper life as a lady. Instead, she becomes an assistant to the mysterious Dr. Ragostin, a finder of lost people. But the elusive doctor never seems to be available, and it is up to Enola to solve the disappearance of young Lady Cecily. Enola is wary of revealing more than she should while working as a detective, so under the shroud of clever disguises, she discovers a world of dark and perplexing clues she will need to follow to solve her most significant case yet.
The Case of the Left-Handed Lady is the second book in the electrifying Enola Holmes mystery series. This thrilling mystery series written by Nancy Springer is a treasure trove of adventure and fascinating characters for young listeners to discover while delving into the world of audiobooks. With ten books already available in the Edgar Award-nominated series, including Enola Holmes: The Case of the Missing Marquess, The Case of the Bizarre Bouquets, The Case of the Peculiar Pink Fan, and The Case of the Gypsy Good-bye, this young adult series is a bestseller for a reason. Brought to life by the acclaimed narrator Katherine Kellgren, these incredible characters jump off the page and into listeners’ minds, much like the original and iconic Sherlock Holmes works by Arthur Conan Doyle.
This inspired two smash hit Netflix films starring Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown as Enola and featuring the legendary Helena Bonham Carter. This captivating series has cemented its place as a refreshing new take on the legendary Sherlock Holmes mythos.

Kellgren was great!
The mystery and the underlying themes of female independence and class struggles are strong, but somewhere along the way the attitude towards poor people (especially men) gets twisted into something a little toxic. Katherine Kellgren is a spectacular narrator.
