The Highland guard series is part of my all-time favorite reads, so trying out the audiobooks has been a wonderful experience. The narration is excellent!

The Scottish Highlanders depicted in The Chief are as dangerous as they are honourable. The descriptions of Skye and Dunvegan Castle provide a fantastic backdrop for the journey of our heroine and of the squirmishes that take place. While there is artistic license taking place regarding historical facts, the story draws you into what it might have been like. Christina Fraser is worthy of her Chief as he is of her. Robert McNab narrates with a proper accents, making the story come alive and thoroughly enjoyable.
