About this listen
There is no set prayer, or set way, that you have to worship Christ. You do not have to sit in a pew at church to know God. You do not have to wear the right clothing; you do not have to look a certain way; and you do not have to clean your face before you cry to him. You do not have to recite words or sing a particular hymn. Your relationship is yours. Just get alone with him and make your time with him special. If you are unable to speak, he can see your heart. Ask the holy spirit to speak for you. Find that space of worship within. You have to make it your own.
Christianity is not a religion. It is a relationship. The most important relationship you will ever have is your relationship with Jesus Christ. His eyes are watching over you, even when you fall. The sun was so very bright today as I went into the woods to pray. High above the tallest tree, the sun seems it was shining just for me. I gaze up, and what did I see: The trees and earth were smiling only for me.
As I raise my hands high above, I could feel his spirit descend just like a dove. My prayer, my time, he has always been such a good friend of mine. As a child when I would fall, he would still be there through it all. I would look to the sky for peace, and his face I there seek. I hid in the kiss of breeze, as I could feel his love and mercy flow through me. I talk to him; I would sing to him; and I fell in love with him. We have our special place where I almost could see his face. He knew that was our special place. God desires to have a personal relationship with you. We have walked through a painful past.
Perhaps, we have faced the monster of abuse: neglect. There is healing. There is freedom. Walk in grace and mercy as you heal. Come with me in the garden, as we pray for the Lord to repair what is broken and give us a new way. Find those quiet moments of worship, as you cry out to your God. He will slowly mend the brokenness. For he offers peace and restoration among his creation.
