An eye opener. Clearly written and informative

A1 from the start. This book provided me with an understanding into the mechanics of introverts and extroverts and everything in between. Cleverly written and the reader’s audio style is superb.

Poorly edited and narrated

I’m a big fan of the books. But this version is poorly done. I’m halfway through and I have lost count how many times when the narrator messes up in the reading, coughs, and repeats that same line. The names are often pronounced wrong and for some reason the characters often have southern accents. Don’t get this version, go with the bbc version.

Love a good children's story

I could read the chronicles of Narnia over and over again. However, some of the stories were a little boring as you started to get into the 32 hours. However, the original stories at the beginning were excellent.

1950s world view

Looking at it from a modern lens, there are some things we judge harshly like overt racism, the view of women in society and the heavy religious imagery. I listened to all of it and I enjoyed it, Despite the discomfort of the modern viewpoint looking backward. I was a little surprised by the weak editing of the narration. Repeated lines, even hearing the narrator clear his throat isn’t something I would have expected. It’s long and you start to notice words that Lewis relies on like “presently”. It is a nice story.
